A seven-year-old migrant from Guatemala died of dehydration after being taken into custody in a Border Patrol facility, the US Border Police. The girl and her father had illegally entered the American territory through the Mexican border.The two, reports the Washington Post, were part of a group of 163 migrants in transit from the New Mexico desert who had then surrendered to the border police on the territory of the city of Lordsburg. The child, who had not eaten or drank for several days, had a seizure and then died at the pediatric hospital in El Paso, Texas, where she had been transferred by helicopter.
